UK Trader Scheme authorisation

EORI GB317175116000

UK Trader Scheme authorisation

If you bring goods into Northern Ireland from Great Britain or a country outside of the EU, you may be liable to pay EU customs duty. If you intend to bring goods into Northern Ireland which you know are not ‘at risk’ of moving to the EU, then you can use the UKTS authorisation to declare them not “at risk which means you would not need to pay the EU’s customs duty.

I refer to your application for the UK Trader Scheme authorisation received on 1 January 2021. You told HMRC that you do not have a “fixed place of business” in Northern Ireland and are currently unable to meet the establishment criteria for the UK Trader Scheme. You applied to be authorised and confirmed that you meet the following criteria:

You supply goods to a business in Northern Ireland which has a fixed place of business from where those goods are provided for, or sold to end consumers, and that the business is either:

o Authorised under the UK Trader Scheme
o Could be authorised, were they the importer of those goods.
• You are able to meet all other criteria for the UK Trader Scheme.
• You are able to declare “not at risk” based on your goods being for end use or sale to end consumers in the UK.

Trader  authorisation number is XIUKTS31717511600020210419101847

As an authorisation holder you are responsible for correctly declaring your goods not ‘at risk’ and for retaining evidence of proof (details of evidence requirements can be found on the UKTS application guidance). Any goods ‘at risk’ may not be declared otherwise, and you will be responsible for paying any duties that are applicable.
